It solidifies the skills of shape identification,
the relationship between 2d and 3d shapes, area, perimeter, surfce area and volume calculations.
The abilitiy to identify similarities and congruence of shapes, along with coordinate mapping, transformations and rotational symmetry.
There are printables here for all these skills. If your child can complete these worksheets, and have a firm understanding of the geometry vocabulary
used in each - then they are absolutely ready for middle school!
