First Grade Math Worksheets
Geometry

First grade math worksheets is all that you get on this page.

They will allow your child to explore geometry further.

I have based my worksheets on the Washington State Standards for basic geometry.

In First grade, the emphasis in geometry, is on  geometric attributes and concepts of measurement.

This is the time when your child starts to realize that there are different standards of units used to measure different attributes, such as length, weight, volume and distance.  This is also the time when your childs geometry vocabulary starts to expand.

So now, more than ever it is important to use the correct geometry terms when discussing shapes and their attributes. If you need any assistance with this, explore my geometry dictionary.  It's a treat!

Also, don't forget that much of each grade level is the continual reinforcing of what was learned previously.  Using Kindergarten worksheets is absolutely appropriate at first grade level, as is using second grade.

The only thing you must be sure of, is that the level you are using is right for your child!
